Palazzo Petraglio

Take a vacation in the southernmost valley of Switzerland and immerse yourself in a bygone era. The Palazzo Petraglio offers around 200 m² living space, five spacious bedrooms for four to ten people, three bathrooms with shower and toilet, a spacious living room, a separate dining room, a large kitchen with an original Ticino fireplace and a large entrance room. A wildly romantic garden also belongs to the house.

The house is completely furnished with old furniture and original oil paintings. Music enthusiasts love the two turntables and the extensive record collection. The house was gently renovated in 2020 and is very well maintained. From the house you have a stunning panoramic view, of the village square with the church and over the entire Valle di Muggio and down to the Italian Po plain.

The Palazzo Petraglio is located in the village of Monte above Mendrisio and is an ideal starting point for hikes, bike tours and excursions in Ticino and northern Italy (Como, Varese, Cernobbio and Milano). According to the Landscape Protection Foundation, the Valle di Muggio is one of the most beautiful landscapes in Switzerland. Monte was first mentioned in 1420 and is still very original but well maintained and not touristy. In the village you will also find a shop for everyday needs and a restaurant servicing delicious local specialties. The bus only runs a few times a day, so a car is recommended for excursions in the wider area.
